STAND-UP COMEDY BEGINNERS WORKSHOP
Stand-Up Comedy is the toughest form of public speaking, but also the most rewarding. The Funny Coast Beginners Workshop is lead by professional working Comedians; Jacques Barrett, Mick Neven and Nicky Wilkinson, who have almost 50 years of comedy performing experience between them.
If you've never performed Stand-Up before, they’ll take you from the couch to your first 5 min set in just 2 weekends! If you have performed Stand-Up before, they'll sharpen your act, help you to write new material & put you on the fast track to paid gigs.
The course covers joke writing, comedy styles, stagecraft, techniques to tackle your fear of public speaking and nervousness onstage, the business of comedy and more.
Whether you’d like to become a Comedian, a better public speaker, or simply tick Stand-up Comedy off your bucket list, this course will help you navigate the early pitfalls and avoid the simple mistakes made by so many comedy newbies.

HOW MUCH?
Introductory ticket offer is just $395!
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
If you're a total beginner, we'll help you write your first 5 minute set and get 'stage ready' to perform it at the graduation show. If you've done a few gigs, we'll help you sharpen your act and write some new material.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
A notepad, a pen and an open mind. We will provide water and some light refreshments.
I'M NERVOUS!
That's normal. We all have to start somewhere and this is the place for you. It's a safe space to share your ideas and find the funny in them. We got you!
